Wow what a fight. SleezyBill who’s overrated? Cung Lee was whipping Scott’s ass for whole fight until he got caught. Thus Scott has one of the hardest punches in all of mma. This is what mma is all about. It only takes one punch.
Cung need to learn how to keep his hands up, you aint gonna slip every punch, thats why people use feints.
so all im saying nick diaz took out scott smith and took out robbie lawler who took out scott smith and took out shamrock which people thought was a big deal when kung le took him out so nick diaz should be the champion in a couple of weight classes in strikeforce and should really be fighting in the ufc he was good when he was in the ufc and better now NICK DIAZ is the man
Dayam! Scott got some jaw man! Cung is good, but hey, if u don’t got the jaw to stand up against someone that does…then it’s just a matter of time and a matter of bad luck(timing) before you get taken out. Was a thing of beauty to watch this match tho. Hope Cung gets back on his feet stronger than ever! Nothing like your first ass kicking to wake you up to a whole new world of improvement. =)
I think they should have a rematch straight away. Well done to Smith. He hung in there (with a solid chin) and beat cung fair and square. Yes, cung was all over him untill the last few minutes, but he did have his guard low for most of the fight, and whenever this happens, it is just a matter of time untill one gets knocked out.
Personally, i think this loss will teach cung a valuable lesson, and he shall soon get his title back.
Cung Le needs to improve ground game (submission and ground n pound) and improve punching power

Scott Smith is the toughest mofo in MMA. He doesn’t win with incredible technique, he just keep going for it. He earned himself a lifelong fan a couple of matches ago.

Anyone who thinks Cung should’ve coasted can suck @$$ because if he had then we’d be all here hearing about how BORING Cung Le is for running, but we aren’t and as far as anything goes, congrats to Smith that was an awesome comeback but we all know who the better man really is.. well my 2 cents to Cung Le, he’ll be champ soon again!
Cung hasn’t fought in what 2 years? Cung was still OWNING Scott Smith until he got careless and tired. Eventually got caught.
After Cung slammed Scott, Cung thought the fight was over. The fight was way too easy for Cung. He got careless and eventually got caught.
Cung needs to work on his cardio.
After not fighting for so long, Cung still GOT IT. He owned Scott Smith for the 1st 2 rounds. Cung also needs to work on his punches. They don’t look like it has any power.
